

Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Doretha "Penny" Matthews, his daughter, Nikesha Matthews, his grandson, Montaque Wright, his granddaughter, Milyka McIver, his four sisters, Carrie Bailey, Amelia Jones (Thomas Jones), Michonne Smith (George Smith) and Rochonne Fair his three brothers, Rubin McClain, Joseph McClain (Porsha McCLain) and Michael McClain (Adrienne McClain), his aunt and uncle, Shirley Fields and Robert Carter, Sr., and a host of family and friends. He met Penny in the late 80's and they married in 2005 and from this union, he was blessed with a son, the late Samuel "Gentry" McIver and a granddaughter, Milyka. In 1982, Fred married Olivia "Dee Dee" Scott and from this union his only daughter, the apple of Fred's eye, Nikesha was born and in 1996 she welcomed his "twin" grandson, Montaque. As much as everyone else could depend on Fred, he could always depend on Audie. He was genuine with everything he did, and you knew it was out of love. Fred was always a giver, and in his time of need, Mike never left his side.Īs a jack of all trades, he was always ready and willing to help family and friends with anything, from hanging blinds to fencing to gardening and of course cooking.
