The first goal came with an excellent side rule pass and the pacy Brandon Edwards broke through the defensive line and tucked the ball away. A couple of tactical switches in the second half paid instant dividends with midfielders Will Makinson and Archie Farkins dictating play from midfield, and wingers Reece Shaw and Ryley Steele producing several outstanding crosses. In the first half, TA started very strongly, with the yet again impressive Ryley Steele creating several chances down the left wing, but we were unable to convert any of the chances we created due to some outstanding goalkeeping. A dominant display from start to finish was eventually rewarded with goals from substitute Brandon Edwards (first touch!) and an Archie Farkins header. Year 8 Football team beat Coombeshead in the South Devon Cup 2-0 on a wet and muddy Tuesday afternoon. Taylor Ford scored the goal but they were all great. The Year 7 girl’s football team went to Dawlish in the torrential rain to play against a combined Year 7/8/9 team. It has been GOALS, GOALS GOALS this week for Mr Grinsill’s teams! Year 7 Miss Pappin proudly commented, “Each of the students had a dream and each of them put a plan together to make it come true… and they’ve done it! Impressively, Falmouth has retained its place as the UK’s Number One Arts University for the third year running in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017.Įarlier this year fellow students Dan Williams and Harvey Comer were both successful in securing offers to study BA degrees in Professional Music Performance at their dream university, ACM The Academy of Contemporary Music. George Full, Chelsea Peter and Tom Neale have all been offered places to study BA Degrees in Creative Music Technology and Popular Music Performance at Falmouth University. The music department have every reason to celebrate this week with the news that each one of their Y13 Music students has been offered a place to study a Music degree at their first choice university.
